Hello Blog

So. Hi. This is me. With a blog. Uhm I don't really know what to say besides the fact that I really have been needing a blog. Because I can't put my superficial ramblings on Facebook notes, cause that just gets annoying. So here I am. And as soon as I sat down to write this, all thoughts exited out of my brain. So I guess I'll just talk about my weekend.

Yesterday, Kristina Looney and I were going to go to the zoo with her friend Josh from Auburn and Colby Buchanan. Since there were tornado warnings in Auburn, Josh wasn't going to come. So we waited around for forever, and finally found out that our plans were actually going to work out, so I printed off a list of the animals and got ready to go. I then get a phonecall from Colby saying that he has to go and drag Thomas Sholtes out of the mud, and he's running late. This is at three o'clock, when we were about to leave. So Kristina and Josh go ahead and I waited for Colby. When he finally gets back at 3:40, the road to get out of Samford is absolutely jam packed and it took us forever to get out. And it was raining outside and I had to walk down to his car because we didn't want to wait at the end of the line when Colby was already down there by the entrance/exit. So we get to the zoo at 4:10, and it closes at 5. We spent $13.50 to spend 40 minutes at a zoo that had already put all of it's animals away due to cold weather, and we walked around in the rain on top of that. The only redeeming factors were the Orangutans, Sea Lions, and the single Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat. Then we left, and didn't even go around to half of the zoo. Then we went back to campus. And I sat around for long amounts of time and almost fell asleep at 7:30 when Kristina and Sarah showed up, and we went on an excursion to Sonic. Kristina and I ended up having a heart to heart to hippie music that was amazing and then coming back to my room and leaving crazy videos on everybody's walls. Then we went to sleep around one. So much for going to bed at 7:30.

Today it Snowed in Birmingham, and how glorious it was. I woke up to screaming on the hall at 7:45, and decided to look out of the window because there were rumors of snow. I looked outside, and there was snow on the ground as well as falling out of the sky. It was quite possibly the most stellar thing that has ever happened to me. I literally felt like I was waking up on Christmas morning, and that snow was my gift. So I woke Sarah up, we called our parents, realized it was 7:45 in the morning, and promptly went back to sleep. We woke up at about 11:30, and decided to go outside because, duh, there was snow on the ground. We put on our warmest clothes and went outside screaming and laughing to welcome the freezing cold. We then proceeded to get ambushed by the boys outside after Kristina showed up with our makeshift sleds, aka Cafeteria Trays. I literally got tackled by Will Cohen, Chase Fleming, and Grant Willis when I was about to brave the hill on my sketchy sled. No good. And then Kristina, Sarah, Emily McLeod and I ended up traipsing about campus taking various pictures and throwing snowballs at various windows. We finally decided to call it a day after about an hour or so. I went to my room and changed and ate some Chili and then went to the library where we decided we would celebrate lack of Chapter with a movie night. Grant, Luke Ellenburg, and Colby were all there so we invited them. And they all ended up ditching which was fine. After dinner Kristina, Sarah, Jordyn Elrod, Ann Monsor, Ryan Smeltzer and myself went to the Vail Movie Room to watch Fight Club. Which is epic. Then I came to my room and sat on facebook and did nothing productive and then decided to make a blog. End weekend :]

In other news, the movie Australia comes out on Tuesday and I'm so excited about it. Ridiculous.
